APPS Machine jurisdiction awarded to the mail handler craft

By letter dated June 2, 2004, the USPS has determined that the mail handlers are the primary craft to staff the new APPS machines which will soon be deployed nationwide.

POSTAL SERVICE TO OBSERVE NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING FOR FORMER PRESIDENT REAGAN

By order of the Postmaster General, all Postal employees will be allowed to observe the National Day of Mourning on Friday June 11, 2004. The rules that will apply to mail handler employees are outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Follow this link for the complete MOU.
