RUDEN'S GONE?

Well, it must be getting close to the time to "pay the piper", or I guess another way to say it is, "The rats are always the first to desert a sinking ship."

Proof of my theories can be found in the rapid (and forced?) retirement of Mr. Sam Ruden as the manager of the P&DC.  We all know the massive changes Mr. Ruden loved to invoke - not only at the P&DC - but around the state.  There are many grievances in the system over numerous issues Mr. Ruden arbitrarily and capriciously invoked on the mail handlers across the state.  Time will tell how we fare on these issues.

News of the retirement of Mr. Ruden was suspiciously received at the same time a letter from Ruden's boss, Craig Wade, surfaced.  This letter stated that an investigation into the antics of Mr. Ruden had basically found that Mr. Ruden had indeed acted inappropriately toward (physically assaulted?) another Postal employee.

I guess management could not find a way to sweep this one under the rug, so Ruden had to go.  I'd like to wish Mr. Ruden a happy and prosperous retirement, however, he didn't give a damn about the employees and I'm sure we don't give a damn about him.

So, as the bus departs, I'd like to wave goodbye, but the stink it left behind is gagging me.
